It is a major convention and event venue located in northern Kyoto, known for hosting high-profile international meetings. It’s famous for being the site of the 1997 Kyoto Protocol negotiations, which shaped global climate policy.

Getting to the Venue
Subway
Take the Karasuma Line to Kokusaikaikan Station (国際会館). The ICC is directly connected — you walk out of the station and you’re there.
From Kyoto Station
~20 minutes by subway (no transfers).

The closest major gateway to Kyoto. This is the recommended arrival point if Kyoto is your main destination.
