ISCR Online Conference on CONSCIOUSNESS

Inquiry into consciousness remains central to contemporary efforts to understand mind and experience. This one-day online conference brings together researchers and practitioners to explore current work spanning neural processes, contemplative traditions, and first-person approaches to meaning and selfhood.
Join leading scholars, emerging researchers, and contemplative practitioners from around the world at the International Society for Contemplative Research’s upcoming online conference on CONSCIOUSNESS. We welcome abstracts spanning the full breadth of consciousness studies, including the science of mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and other contemplative practices; research on psychedelics and neuroplastogens; contemplative philosophy; and the foundational neuroscience of conscious experience. We also encourage submissions in related areas such as contemplative clinical science, cognitive science and phenomenology, interoception and embodied cognition, sleep and dreaming, hypnosis, shamanism and cross-cultural contemplative traditions, neurophenomenology, nondual awareness and self-transcendence, transformative and non-ordinary states of consciousness, and neuromodulation and other technology-based approaches to studying consciousness.

In addition to solo research presentations and themed panel submissions, there will be opportunities to contribute shorter “lightning talks” designed to highlight emerging ideas, preliminary findings, and innovative perspectives.

Submissions are especially encouraged from junior scholars and students contributing fresh perspectives to this rapidly evolving field.

Be part of a global dialogue at the frontier of contemplative science.
